Adversaria, [later 18th century].

Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of about 230 notes and abstracts of scientific papers, lectures, and articles on medical issues, as well as agriculture, meteorology, and chemistry. The volume includes scientific notes on rhubarb, tea, honey, and electricity; a lecture describing an experiment on the nervous system by Alexander Munro (1733-1817); "Excerpts from Pictet's lectures, taken by F. Coindet, 1793-4;" and essays titled "On the Analysis of the Honey-stone" and "Arcanum against the Tape worm."
